Revenue or Total Revenue
(sometimes called sales, gross revenue, or operating revenue) is the dollar amount of goods and services sold as a result of your normal business activities. Revenue is referred to as the top line because it's at the top of the income statement.

Net Income (Loss)
(sometimes called profit, net profit, income, earnings, or net earnings) is the total of allreported revenues, gains, expenses, and losses for a fiscal period.Often referred to as a company'sbottom line, this is what is left overafter all expenses have beensubtracted from revenues.

Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
(sometimes called cost of sales) is the direct costs attributable to the production of the goods sold by a company.
